How I use your details
Short version: I collect what you type into the two forms on this site, I use it only to reply to you or to tell you when the tool is ready, and I never sell it or use it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who I am
Dayta is run by me, CJay, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m responsible for the details you share here. You can reach me at cjay@dayta.my.
What I collect
- Waitlist: your work email and your role.
- Enquiry form: your name, company (if you give it), work email, what you’re interested in, and your message (if you write one).
Nothing else. There are no accounts to create on this site.
Why I collect it
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To email waitlist members when the tool is ready to try.
That’s all. You won’t be added to a marketing list. Your details are never sold, and never used for anyone else’s marketing.
Where it’s stored and who can see it
Only I read your details. To run this site I use two service providers, who hold and process data on Dayta’s behalf and for no other purpose:
- Supabase, the database where form details are stored, on servers in Singapore.
- PostHog, for page analytics (see below).
Both are outside Malaysia, so your data may be stored and processed outside Malaysia.
How long I keep it
Until you ask me to remove it, or until it’s no longer needed for the reason you gave it, whichever comes first.
Page analytics
I use PostHog for cookie-free analytics, so I know what’s useful. It records page visits and which buttons get clicked, including your IP address as PostHog receives it. Nothing is stored on your device, and it never records the contents of the forms. PostHog may store this data outside Malaysia.
Your rights
Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you can ask to see the details I hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted. Just email cjay@dayta.my and I’ll sort it out.
